Youth Coaching Opportunities
A great opportunity to give back to the game, to volunteer, to work with the future players of our program and other area programs. We are looking to place pairs of HS players with the ASA Youth teams this spring. I want you to work in pairs so that at least one of you could be able to attend each practice and game. You would need your own transportation and a desire to work with kids. This would be a great boost to the ASA program and would help the ASA coaches out considerably. We are looking for those of you who will present yourselves as positive role models to these kids. This is the most important part of what you will be doing. Please consider this carefully before you volunteer, because it will be a real commitment. You will need to be committed to that group as the other coaches and players are. I will let ASA know that you will not be available on any of our game days and some Saturdays. For those of you who do this, it will be a very rewarding experience!
Year End BanquetOur end of the year Banquet will be Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm in the school cafeteria. It will be a covered dish dinner, so please bring a dish to share as noted below. We will start eating at 6pm so we’ll have plenty of time for the program. It should be a fun celebration for a great year! |
Apex vs. SyossetWe have a game on Saturday March 15th against Syosset HS from Long Island, NY. Syosset won the Nassau County Championship last season (they beat coach Hayden's HS- Farmingdale). This will be a great opportunity for us to see how we stack up against one of the top HS teams in the country. I would like to have sandwiches and drinks available for their players and coaches after the game. They will be showering here and hustling over to Duke for the 3pm start of the Duke/UNC game. |
